Amaravati, December 26: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has unveiled plans to develop a dedicated Vajpayee Memorial Park in Amaravati. The park will commemorate Atal Bihari Vajpayee's contributions to transparent governance, infrastructure growth, and national progress.

It builds on the recent unveiling of a bronze statue of Vajpayee at Venkatapalem in the capital region, held on December 25 to mark his birth centenary and Good Governance Day.

Naidu praised Vajpayee as a humanist and visionary leader who laid the foundations for national highways, telecom reforms, airport expansion, and the knowledge economy. He drew parallels with TDP founder N.T. Rama Rao, noting both prioritised people's welfare.

Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who joined the statue unveiling and sapling planting at the site, hailed Andhra Pradesh's march toward a "Quantum Yug" under Naidu's leadership and predicted Amaravati's rise as a world-class capital.
