Amaravati, December 28, 2025: Union Minister of State for Rural Development and Communications Pemmasani Chandrasekhar said land-related challenges in the Amaravati capital region are being addressed through a phased approach.

Speaking after a review meeting at the CRDA office on December 27, he noted that surveys on jaribu (fertile, triple-crop) lands have finished. A committee report will help identify genuine beneficiaries and guide final decisions.

The discussion covered specific cases, including issues for 415 plot owners with less than 10 cents, around 150 veedhi potu lands, large returnable plots, and concerns linked to Gannavaram airport.

Requests to include pre-2013 road-affected lands under pooling were ruled out on legal grounds. The meeting, attended by Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana and Tadikonda MLA Tenali Sravan Kumar, began with a minute's silence for farmer Dondapati Ramarao, who died during a related discussion the day before.
