Newsroom, December 29, 2025: India will host the India AI Impact Summit from February 15 to 20, 2026, in New Delhi, marking the first time this global series lands in the Global South.

The event, organised by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology under the IndiaAI Mission, aims for participation on par with the 2023 G20 Summit, with expectations of 15-20 heads of state, over 100 countries involved, and around 100,000 attendees.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the expo and opening ceremony, joined by global CEOs from firms like Google DeepMind, Anthropic, Adobe, and others.

Building on prior summits in the UK, Seoul, and Paris, India emphasizes democratizing AI resources, safe deployment, and applications for sectors like healthcare, agriculture, and climate action.

Officials highlight the need to prevent concentration of AI power while promoting broad access for human development and Global South inclusion. Over 300 pre-summit events have already built momentum worldwide.
