Amaravati, December 30, 2025: The Andhra Pradesh government raised ₹4,000 crore via Reserve Bank of India auctions of state securities at the close of 2025. This move addresses immediate fiscal demands, including welfare payments, infrastructure work, and pending bills.

The fresh infusion lifts the calendar year's open market borrowings beyond ₹86,000 crore, with monthly auctions consistently above ₹1,000 crore. Peak amounts hit ₹7,000 crore in May, followed by large tranches in June, August, and September.
