Amaravati, January 02, 2026: The Andhra Pradesh government has announced supplementary examinations for paramedical students who fail their annual exams, marking a first in the state.

Directed by Health Minister Y Satya Kumar Yadav, the reform begins with the 2025-26 academic year and aims to prevent students from repeating an entire year while preserving job prospects in healthcare.

The state offers 16 paramedical diploma courses, including Medical Lab Technician, ECG Technician, and Cardiology, enrolling nearly 20,000 students annually after completing Intermediate BiPC or MPC.

Previously, failed candidates waited a full year to reattempt. Now, applications are open until January 5, with exams scheduled for February 2, 3, and 4.
