Amaravati, January 03, 2026: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has deployed an AI-driven Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) that has transformed crowd management at the sacred hill shrine.

Equipped with over 300 CCTV cameras and 42 facial-recognition units, the system delivers real-time 3D visualisation of pilgrim flow. It flags congestion instantly turning zones red when numbers exceed 500 and enables rapid staff redeployment and queue rerouting.

During the recent Vaikuntha Ekadasi festivities, the technology kept darshan waits between 1.5 and four hours despite record turnout: over 67,000 devotees on December 30, 70,000 the next day, and 65,000 on January 1.

No stampedes, overcrowding, or disruptions occurred, earning praise from pilgrims for an orderly experience.

he ICCC, inaugurated in 2025 during Brahmotsavams by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, integrates with pre-booked time-slotted darshan to coordinate every step from entry to exit.
