Amaravati, January 05, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu addressed the concluding day of the third World Telugu Mahasabhalu in Guntur, stressing unity among Telugu-speaking people across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
He described Telugu as a shared mother tongue and urged no animosity between the states, especially on water sharing and cooperation.
Naidu highlighted that political differences must not create hostility, pushing for joint efforts to make the Telugu community globally leading.
Naidu strongly advocated interlinking the Krishna and Godavari rivers, noting past successes like the Pattiseema lift project that aided the Krishna Delta.
He pointed out that vast amounts of Godavari water—nearly 3,000 TMC annually flow unused into the sea, and Andhra Pradesh has supported Telangana's Godavari projects without objection.
He also announced a new Telugu University named after Potti Sriramulu in Rajamahendravaram and government backing for language promotion, including on-duty status for attending teachers.
