Vijayawada, January 06, 2026: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu heads to Vijayawada tomorrow to headline the main golden jubilee ceremony of Siddhartha Academy at P.B. Siddhartha College of Arts and Science.

The academy, founded in 1975 by 250 members to bring quality education within reach for all children, began with two colleges and now runs 18 institutions serving 28,000 students and employing 4,000 staff.

Over the past year, celebrations have featured guest lectures, science and medical exhibitions, sports meets, cultural shows, and literary contests across its network since March 2025.

The apex event includes honouring eight major donors who helped shape the academy's growth.

Leaders credit the institutions with turning Vijayawada into a key education centre and cultural hub, especially through Siddhartha Kala Peetham launched in 1990, which has hosted renowned artistes for decades.
