Amaravati, January 06, 2026: Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar confirmed that paddy procurement continues smoothly statewide, with the government putting strong systems in place to purchase directly from farmers.
During a visit to Vizianagaram district including stops at Rachakindam in Bondapalli mandal and Pedatadivada in Denkada mandal, he interacted with farmers at a Rythu Seva Kendram, heard their concerns, and stressed that adequate gunny bags, tarpaulins, and other resources have reached all districts.
The minister highlighted a ₹14,000 crore fund set aside for the season's procurement and directed millers to strictly follow government guidelines. This comes amid the ongoing kharif season effort, where authorities aim to support farmers through transparent, timely purchases at minimum support prices.
