Vijayawada, January 08, 2026: Andhra Pradesh is accelerating its tourism revival with ambitious plans announced by the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC).
Chairman N. Balaji revealed that MoUs worth around ₹19,000 crore have been signed to boost the sector, signalling strong investor confidence in the state's beaches, hills, temples, and heritage sites.
Key moves include rebranding 67 Haritha Hotels to ‘Haritha Punnami,’ intensifying efforts for international Blue Flag certification at Suryalanka beach, and advancing the Srisailam-Tripurantakam temple circuit.
Central funding of ₹450 crore will support developments at Gandikota and Simhachalam, while detailed project reports are in progress for eco-tourism and adventure spots like Araku, Vanjangi, Donakonda, and Paderu. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is set to launch houseboats at Haritha Berm Park soon.
