The three-day Avakai–Amaravati Festival of Cinema, Culture and Literature drew over 12,000 visitors across Punnami Ghat and Bhavani Island, ending on a high note with live concerts and tributes. Next edition set for December 2026.

Vijayawada, January 10, 2026: The Avakai–Amaravati Festival concluded grandly today at Vijayawada’s scenic riverfront venues, blending Telugu cinema, literature, music, dance, and cultural talks.

Organised by the district administration and state tourism bodies, the event featured highlights like a tribute to legendary actor N.T. Rama Rao, performances by Chowraasta band, a live concert by singer Javed Ali, and the finale musical Love Story fusing traditional Telugu tunes with modern dance.

Attendance surged on the final day, exceeding 7,000 visitors, taking the three-day total beyond 12,000.

Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh, who attended the valedictory, praised the response and announced the next edition for December 17–19, 2026.
