Amaravati, January 10, 2026: The International Bouldering and Mountaineering Festival unfolded at Kangundi village in Kuppam constituency, Chittoor district, drawing enthusiasts to the unique “Mini Mount Kailash” a natural Shiva Lingam-shaped granite formation known as one of the world's largest.

Held from January 6 to 10, the event featured demonstrations in bouldering, climbing, and trekking, supported by the Indian Mountaineering Foundation.

Organized in collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Department, Kuppam Area Development Authority, the TadEkam Foundation, and local groups like the Kangundi Nature & Adventure Society, the festival aligns with Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's vision to position the 1,000-year-old village as a global hub for spiritual, heritage, adventure, and eco-tourism.

Participants enjoyed cultural street plays, a food festival with local cuisine, handicraft stalls run by women, and homestay experiences amid scenic landscapes.
