Amaravati, January 10, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has appealed to neighbouring states, particularly Telangana, to share surplus river water and skip conflicts over Godavari and Krishna basins.

Speaking amid ongoing tensions, including Supreme Court hearings on Polavaram expansions, Naidu emphasized that large volumes of water flow waste into the sea each year.

He argued that completing the Polavaram project would enable better utilisation, potentially benefiting Telangana too through river interlinking and drought relief.
