Amaravati, January 10, 2026: Authorities at Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam, Kurnool district, are finalising elaborate arrangements for the 11-day-plus Maha Shivaratri Brahmotsavam.

The festival, a major draw for Shiva devotees across India, will feature key rituals including Vahana Sevas, Kalyanotsavam, and midnight abhishekam on Maha Shivaratri.

Temple officials have divided the area into 11 zones for round-the-clock monitoring. Plans include enhanced sanitation, ample drinking water, improved transport and parking, queue management, seven ambulances, 10 medical camps, and shelters for pilgrims.

They will prepare 36 lakh laddus to distribute. Officials expect a 20% increase in visitors over last year, with 3,000 police personnel deployed for safety. Nandyal District Collector G Rajakumari has directed foolproof coordination to ensure smooth, satisfying darshan.
