Amaravati, January 10, 2026: The historic Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple at Srisailam is gearing up for Makara Sankranti with community-focused events. On Bhogi day, January 14, a mass Bhogi Pallu ritual will take place at 10 a.m. in the Akkamaha Devi Alankara Mandapam.

Elders will shower young children aged five with fruits such as jujubes, gooseberries, and sugarcane pieces to invoke blessings, good health, and protection from negative energies.

Parents mustenroll at the temple's Public Relations Wing in the Administrative Building by 5 p.m. on January 13.

The following day, January 15, rangoli competitions for women will start at 7:30 a.m. on the temple's South Mada Street, celebrating Sankranti Brahmotsavams with colorful floor art. Enrollment closes by 5 p.m. on January 14.
