Amaravati, January 11, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan has urged medical professionals across Andhra Pradesh to visit tribal areas at least one day every month as a mark of social responsibility.

Speaking at an event in Kakinada, he emphasized the struggles faced by tribal populations, including limited access to quality healthcare and issues like the high prevalence of sickle cell anaemia observed during his recent visit to Araku Valley.

The Deputy CM noted that the government invests heavily in medical education and stressed that expert doctors' regular presence could transform health outcomes in these underserved pockets. He also announced initiatives like constructing a blood bank in Araku to support affected patients.
