Amaravati, January 12, 2026: Devotees gathered as the grand Sankranti Brahmotsavams commenced at Srisailam’s revered Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple, one of Andhra Pradesh’s most sacred Jyotirlinga sites.
The seven-day festival launched with the Yagasala Pravesam ritual, followed by special abhishekams, archana to Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba Devi, and key ceremonies like Ganapati Puja, Chandeeswara Puja, Ankurarpana, and Dhwajarohanam to symbolically invite divine presence.
The temple glowed with bright illuminations, setting a festive tone. Events continue through January 18, with the highlight Brahmotsava Kalyanam slated for Makar Sankranti on January 15, including special participation from local Chenchu tribal communities.
