Devotees witnessed the majestic Brungi Vahana Seva at Srisailam as processional deities of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba were carried on the sacred Brungi vehicle during the ongoing Sankranti Mahotsavams.

Amaravati, January 13, 2026: Temple priests at the Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy temple in Srisailam performed special pujas, japams, and parayanams before taking out the deities on Brungi Vahanam, marking the second day of the seven-day Sankranti festival.

This traditional vahana seva allows thousands of pilgrims to seek blessings from the presiding deities in a grand procession, blending devotion with Andhra Pradesh's vibrant cultural heritage.

Executive Officer M. Srinivasa Rao announced that Kailasa Vahana Seva follows on January 14, alongside Bhogi celebrations, including a morning bonfire and 'Pallu' event for young children. As Makara Sankranti approaches, the hill shrine continues to draw crowds, highlighting Srisailam's role as a key spiritual centre in the state amid rising festive fervour.
