Newsroom January 13, 2026: Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav described the NDA government at the Centre and in the state as truly farmer-friendly.
He spoke to reporters after laying the foundation stone for a new Vahana Mandapam at the Sri Lakshmi Chennakesava Swamy temple here in Sri Sathya Sai district.
The minister pointed to steps like ensuring a steady irrigation water supply across the state and quick repairs to canals and gates before the upcoming Kharif season. He stressed that no development project would move forward without full and fair compensation to affected farmers.
Yadav contrasted this approach with the previous administration, which he accused of pressuring farmers during land acquisitions for projects such as the Jilledu Banda reservoir.
