Vijayawada, January 14, 2026: An Anti-Corruption Bureau court in Vijayawada on January 12 accepted the Andhra Pradesh CID's final report and closed the high-profile APSSDC case against Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and 36 others.
The agency concluded no evidence supported the allegations of misappropriation of funds, originally pegged at around ₹371 crore in the Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation's training projects from 2014-2018.
Naidu, then Leader of Opposition, faced arrest in September 2023 under the previous regime and spent nearly 50 days in Rajamahendravaram Central Prison before securing bail.
The CID petition described the case registration as a mistake of fact after further probe found no substantiation against him.
